中心是科技部重点领域“中药资源创新团队”“中药生态农业创新团队”,是科技部与国家中医药管理局道地药材国家重点实验室,有国家中医药管理局道地药材生态遗传、中药资源遥感监测与区划2个重点研究室,2个三级实验室和3个重点学科。是北京市道地中药功能基因组重点实验室,是国家中医药管理局“一带一路”药用植物资源开发与利用基地,是中华中医药学会中药鉴定专业委员会、中国生态学学会中药资源生态专业委员会等10个专业委员会和ISO/TC249/WG1的挂靠单位。
中心近年在中药活性成分生物合成的功能基因研究、中药分子鉴定、中药资源区划及遥感监测、中药材生态种植及土壤微生态综合修复治理等方面处于国际先进和国内领先水平。相关研究获得国家科技进步二等奖5项。
National Resource Center for Chinese Materia Medica, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences was formally founded on December 18th, 2012. The organization is a national platform which is gathered the domestic research strengths and based on the disciplinary advantage of TCM Resources in China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. The Center is undertaking the national survey on TCM Resources, carrying out the research on the foundation and application of TCM resources and the achievements transformation. At the same time, the center is also establishing the mechanism of dynamic monitoring for TCM Resources, in order to promote the sustainable development of TCM Resources and meet the health needs of all people.
The“TCM Resources Innovation Team” and "Chinese Medicine Ecological Agriculture Innovation Team" of the Center are the key areas innovation team authorized by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The Center is the supporting organization for the State Key Laboratory of Dao-di Herbs, and also the affiliated organization of ISO/TC249/WG1 and 10 professional committees, such as TCM identification professional committee of China Association of Chinese Medicine, TCM resource ecology professional committee of Ecological Society of China, and other 8 institutions. Currently, there are 2 key research laboratories, 2 third-level laboratories and 3 key disciplines authorized by the State Administration of TCM in the Center. Many research achievements have reached a domestic leading level, which includes the research on the functional gene of the TCM secondary metabolites biosynthesis, molecular identification of TCM, regionalization and remote sensing monitoring for TCM resources, ecological planting and soil micro-ecological repair management for TCM resources, etc.
